Group Therapy for Kids & Teens in Clermont, Florida

Social Skills, Anxiety Support & Coping Skills Groups

Small, supportive child and teen therapy groups in Clermont, FL (6-8 kids max) focused on building social skills, emotional regulation, coping skills for anxiety and frustration, and building confidence.

Why Group Therapy?

Group therapy for kids and teens in Clermont offers a unique opportunity to learn, grow, and connect with others who are navigating similar challenges.

It’s especially helpful for building social skills, emotional regulation skills, confidence, and emotional awareness. Additionally, group therapy is a wonderful organic opportunity to practice skills in real time with the support of the group therapist.

Why Small Groups?

Unlike larger group settings, I intentionally keep groups limited to 6-8 kids.

This allows:

  • More individualized attention

  • More opportunities to actively participate (and not get lost in a large group)

  • Build confidence and meaningful peer connections

  • Practice skills in a safe, structured environment

  • Feeling safer sharing thoughts and experiences

Who this is for

Group therapy may be a good fit for:

  • Children who struggle socially

  • Kids who feel “different” or isolated

  • Teens who wan connection but feel unsure how

  • Those working on emotional regulation or confidence

  • Social skills

  • Emotional regulation

  • Confidence and self-esteem

  • Communication skills

  • Peer connection and friendship skills

  • Conflict resolution skills

What groups focus on

What Groups Look Like

Groups are structured but engaging and age-appropriate.

Group sessions may include:

  • Interactive activities

  • Small group discussions

  • Skill-building exercises

  • Games and collaborative tasks

  • Guided social interactions

  • Real-time skill practice with peers

My approach with groups

I don’t believe in packing groups full just to fill a room. Each group is intentionally small so every kid has space to be seen, supported, and actively engaged.

The goal isn’t just learning skills- it’s helping participants feel confident using them in real life outside of the therapy office.
