Meet the Therapist

Hi, I’m Samantha Savage, LPC, LMHC, and the founder of Art of Healing Therapy Center. I’m a therapist who believes healing grows through safety, creativity, and connection. Since 2018, I’ve supported children, teens, adults, and families in building emotional awareness, confidence, and healthier ways of navigating life’s challenges. My passion is helping clients feel understood, grounded, and empowered - especially those struggling with anxiety, perfectionism, emotional overwhelm, big feelings, and self-esteem concerns.

My therapeutic approach blends expressive creativity with evidence-based methods, including Cognitive Behavioral therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, mindfulness, and play-based strategies. In sessions, I often incorporate art, play, games, storytelling, and sensory tools to help clients explore emotions, regulate their nervous system, develop new coping skills, and express themselves in ways that feel natural and meaningful. For adults, I also integrate hypnotherapy and expressive work to support deeper healing around anxiety, phobias, negative beliefs, and stress.

Over the years, I have developed specialized experience supporting:

  • Anxiety and chronic worry

  • Emotional regulation and “big feelings”

  • Frustration, anger, and impulse control

  • Self-esteem and self-compassion

  • Perfectionism and school stress

  • Social and communication challenges

  • Family conflict, transitions, and parent-child dynamics

At the heart of my work is the belief that therapy should feel safe, collaborative, creative, and genuinely human. Growth happens when you feel seen, supported, and free to explore what’s inside without judgement. That’s why I created Art of Healing Therapy Center with intention: a warm, restorative environment where expressive therapy and evidence-based care become the pathway to clarity, confidence, and emotional resilience.

If you’re ready to feel calmer, more grounded, and more confident - or if you’re looking for meaningful support for your child or teen - you belong here. Together, we’ll slow down, breathe, and uncover tools that help you feel more grounded, capable, and connected to yourself.

In My Office You’ll Find…

A space designed to help you (or your child) feel safe, calm, and creatively supported.

My office is filled with hands-on materials and expressive tools that make therapy feel approachable, engaging, and tailored to each person’s needs. Whether we’re exploring emotions, building coping skills, or finding new ways to express what feels hard to put into words, these items help bring the work to life.

You’ll find watercolor paints, markers, pastels, collage materials, and guided prompts that turn emotions into art. These tools help kids, teens, and adults explore feelings in a playful, meaningful way- especially when words are tough.

Sensory and Mindfulness Supports

From grounding objects to calming visuals and mindfulness activities, I use sensory tools to help regulate the nervous system, build emotional awareness, and make sessions feel soothing and steady.

Play-Based and Expressive Activities

Games, therapeutic stories, and imaginative exercises are available for younger clients who express themselves best through movement and play. For teens and adults, we may use reflective journaling, metaphor activities, or creative problem-solving exercises.

Emotion wheels, affirmation cards, “emotion potion” activities, and visual coping tools support clients in learning to identify feelings, communicate needs, and build confidence.
